Officer Who Shot Fort Hood Shooter Major Nadal Hasan Describes Case
Sgt. Kim Munley, the police officer who shot Fort Hood Shooter Major Nadal Hasan, joined Rick Roberts and Rachel Sutherland on America's Radio News. Munley is now a member of the Coalition of Fort Hood Heroes, a group of survivors and family members of the Fort Hood Shooting.
They are asking the President to not label the Ft Hood shooting "workplace violence" but instead to call it "terrorism." Fourteen people died when Hasan shouted "Allahu Ahkbar" and opened fire on American Military. The Coalition of Fort Hood Heroes said in a statement that unless the government labels the attack terrorism, victims and their families will be"denied the recognition and benefits they are rightfully due," in particular eligibility for the Purple Heart Medal, along with which comes veterans’medical benefits and higher priority for veterans’ disability compensation.
